SHIPPING INFORMATION
Freight, international shipping, customs clearance and delivery
Important: The shipping terms in your Zoodico quotation or order acknowledgment control for your order.
Overview
Zoodico Traffic Solutions supplies traffic safety products throughout the United States. Depending on the product and order, goods may ship from our U.S. location, a domestic supplier, or directly from our manufacturing facility in China.
The shipping terms, delivery address, included charges and estimated lead time stated in Zoodico's quotation or order acknowledgment control for each order.
Quoted Shipping, Customs Clearance and Duties
Unless the quotation states otherwise, a quoted delivered price includes the ordinary freight charges, U.S. import customs clearance and customs duties identified or reasonably anticipated as of the quotation date for delivery to the named address. Zoodico or its designated logistics provider will coordinate international transportation and import clearance.
Sales or use taxes, permits, bonds, installation, unloading, liftgate service, inside delivery, jobsite handling and other services are not included unless specifically stated. Governmental charges, tariffs or trade-remedy duties imposed or materially increased after the quotation date may require a price adjustment before shipment.
If a quotation uses a specific Incoterm, names a different importer of record, or assigns freight or customs responsibilities differently, that quotation controls.
Estimated Production and Delivery Times
Production and delivery times are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates. Lead time normally begins only after Zoodico receives the required payment, final approved drawings or specifications, and all information needed to process the order.
Estimated delivery may include manufacturing, export processing, ocean or air transportation, port handling, customs clearance and domestic delivery. These stages can change after an order is placed. A delivery date is guaranteed only when Zoodico expressly states in writing that it is guaranteed.
Customs, Port and Carrier Delays
International shipments may be delayed by customs examination, documentation review, port congestion, vessel schedule changes, transshipment, carrier delay, weather, strikes, government action, trade restrictions, force majeure or other circumstances beyond Zoodico's reasonable control.
Zoodico will use reasonable efforts to monitor the shipment and keep the customer informed of material delays, but cannot guarantee customs-release or carrier-delivery dates. Zoodico is not responsible for project-delay costs, third-party penalties, equipment rental, traffic-control costs, lost profits or other consequential costs resulting from delays outside its reasonable control.
Delivery Location and Customer Responsibilities
The customer must provide a complete and accurate delivery address, site contact, telephone number, receiving hours and any access restrictions before shipment. Most pallet and freight quotations assume delivery to a commercial location that can safely receive a large truck.
Unless the quotation expressly includes additional services, the customer is responsible for:
· having authorized personnel available to receive and sign for the shipment;
· providing a loading dock, forklift, crane or other equipment needed to unload;
· unloading promptly and safely when the shipment arrives; and
· obtaining any site access, delivery appointment or local authorization required for receipt.
Additional carrier charges caused by an incorrect address, limited access, residential delivery, liftgate request, missed appointment, refusal, redelivery, storage, detention or inability to unload may be billed to the customer.
Risk of Loss and Title
Unless the quotation states otherwise, Zoodico will arrange transportation to the quoted delivery address, and risk of loss passes to the customer when the shipment is delivered at that address and made available for unloading. The customer is responsible for loss or damage occurring during or after unloading. Title transfers only after Zoodico has received full payment.
Receiving Inspection and Freight Damage
The customer must inspect all pallets, cartons and visible product surfaces before signing the delivery receipt. Any visible damage, shortage, broken packaging or evidence of mishandling must be noted clearly on the delivery receipt or proof of delivery. Photographs should be taken before unloading or removing packaging.
Report visible freight damage or shortage to Zoodico at ellay@zoodicotraffic.com within 48 hours of delivery. Report concealed freight damage promptly after discovery, preferably within five calendar days. Keep the product, pallet, cartons and all packaging until Zoodico or the carrier confirms that they may be discarded.
The notice should include the customer name, invoice or purchase-order number, delivery receipt, description of the issue, affected quantities, serial numbers when applicable, and clear photographs. Failure to document damage at delivery or preserve the packaging may limit recovery from the carrier.
Shipping damage is not processed as a standard product return. If Zoodico selected the carrier, Zoodico will reasonably assist with or coordinate the freight claim. Product defects unrelated to shipping are handled under the applicable written limited warranty.
Changes, Split Shipments and Partial Delivery
Zoodico may use more than one carrier or shipment when reasonably necessary. Partial delivery does not by itself constitute nonperformance. A requested change to the delivery address, carrier, service level or schedule after shipment is booked may delay delivery and result in additional charges.
Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories and International Destinations
Orders for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, other U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, Canada and destinations outside the continental United States require an individual freight and customs quotation. Duties, taxes, brokerage, importer-of-record responsibility and delivery services will be stated in the quotation.
Returns and Order Cancellations
Shipping damage, product defects, order cancellations and voluntary returns are handled under different procedures. Please refer to Zoodico's Returns, Cancellations & Refunds Policy and the applicable written limited warranty. Custom, configured, private-label and special-order products may be non-cancellable and non-returnable.
